During my recent stay at Diplomat, I was actually surprised by the value for money I received. The rooms may be small, but they were adequate for my needs. I was especially happy to find that there was enough room for an extra bed, accommodating my traveling companion comfortably. The air-conditioning was not noisy, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. While the Wi-Fi did not work well, I understand that there may have been issues due to a recent typhoon. The central location of the hotel, close to Fuenta Osmena Cir and Robinsons, made it convenient for exploration and shopping. I found Diplomat to be a good budget hotel option with its reasonable prices and satisfactory amenities. Despite some minor drawbacks, I will definitely consider staying here again.

Very pleasant and helpful staff, convenient location, nice lobby, CK Spa at the entrance to the hotel.
The hotel is quite old and the rooms should be renovated, lobby bar closed after 22.00, bed linen should be more crisp and fresh.

The security staff who operated the lifts were very attentive and friendly.
Lack of room cleanliness. We stayed in 2 separate rooms and neither were spotlessly clean.Very noisy room air conditioner. Very antiquated bathroom and fittings... again, the bathroom shower recesses were quite mouldy in parts and tap fittings and spout were quite corroded and in need of replacememnt. There was no hot water tap over the hand basin, no bath mat or hand towel. No spare pillows.I realise this room was very inexpensive, but if it was "superior" I would hate to see the "standard". Cleanliness is a basic requirement no matter what the room cost.

Half of block down the street from this hotel is Holiday Plaza Hotel. HPHotel is very nice 4 Star for only few dollars more than Diplomat Hotel. If you stay at Diplomat Hotel I feel sorry for you. Only good part this is good area and a lot of shopping, restaurants nearby.
This is a very disgusting hotel. 1) The staff is unless, not helpful 2) the bathroom shower water stink like crap 3) room is not clean, very old 4) the mini refrigerator has need been clean in years 5) The internet Wifi card very expensive. When I check out early becoz I could not stay there another night they said I could not have refund for the days not staying there.

The rooms are clean and the cable have many channels to watch .
The blanket is not long enough to cover my body and the air condition is a bit noisy . Most importantly there was no swimming pool .

Helpful staff.
Fittings and furnishings worn: e.g. cigarette burns in bedding, limescale, rust staining and mold growth throughout bathroom. Ants in bedroom. Pillows old and worn, Towels years past expiry. Payment up front for all services is tiring - although to be fair it was a budget hotel.
